"The Government of Malta has issued an international call for
Expressions of Interest for the Privatisation of the Malta Shipyard facilities. The facilities are ideally located in the centre of the Mediterranean and include a supertanker dry dock (300,000 DWT) and five smaller docks, heavy steel fabrication facilities and superyacht repair and refit facilities.

The proposal includes four business activities, and bidder may bid for all of the units or for any units separately. These are the shiprepair facilites, the shipbuilding and steel fabrication facilities, the superyacht services facilities and the yacht repair and refit facilities.

The deadline for submission of an Expression of Interest is the 15th of September 2008 at noon - qualifying parties will then be invited to submit their proposals for the acquisition of the relevant activities.
